Natural Cleaning using Vinegar!
All Purpose Cleaner and glass cleaner- grab a spray bottle, fill about half vinegar and half water. Optional: add essential oils like lemon or orange. I use this on counter tops, windows, mirrors, bathrooms, etc.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner - just dump in a few glugs of vinegar (or about a cup) in the toilet and let sit for at least 10 minutes. Use a toilet brush and clean as you normally would.
Tub or Shower Cleaner - (not vinegar but part of my cleaning arsenal) sprinkle some baking soda, and then squirt a bit of hand soap or dish soap all over tub or shower base. A rag works better than paper towel here. This works so well for getting that grime that doesn't come off with just vinegar and water. The baking soda acts as a nice, gentle abrasive.
* as you can see, I don't measure anything but it still works out well.
Other ways I use vinegar:
Soaking fruit and vegetables. When I come home with bags of groceries, I try to wash up some of the produce right away. I throw it all in a clean sink, fill with some water and add some baking soda and vinegar. Let sit for 10 minutes. This will clean it well, take off pesticides, and the vinegar actually will help it stay fresh longer. I just read an article about how soaking strawberries in vinegar water will help them to last almost a week longer because it kills off any mold.
